The mobile version of the Asset Insider app has the ability to scan and track the available assets via serial number or internal number.
An important note is that the barcode scanner control is only supported by Android and iOS devices. All other platforms will show a warning that some features of the app won't work.

The system has several different ways to use the barcode scanner.
- To identify an asset – location, assignee and other important information which can be used by the user.
- To receive Purchase Orders
- To receive Transfer Orders
- To create Quick Moves
- To search in the list of assets
